On the third day of the women's volleyball world championship, Serbia managed to beat 3-0 Brazil with simplicity. No hardship for the Serb representative, who appeared dominant over parquet from the beginning of the challenge to its end. The first set was somewhat rivaled, with Brazilians trying to resist, but in the end Serbia won the 25-21. The second set was even simpler for the Serbs, as the Brazilian girls were almost inexistent on the parquet floor. The second set was closed in figures 25-18. The third and last set did not offer anything else. Zoran Terzic's team shut down very quickly, with Brazil who could only score one more point in the second set. For the Serbian representative this was the third consecutive victory and consequently took Group D head to 9 points, while Brazil suffered the first defeat, following two successes that had earlier come to Porto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
