Meet Cole Konrad... the 'strongest mfer living' according to Brock Lesnar himself.
This Bellator staple conquered the heavyweight crown, and although his last fight was more than 2 and a half years ago, many fans still wonder if he's the best in the world.
The wrestling accumen of this guy is up there with the Lesnar's and Velasquez types of the world.
This is a Division 1 sport from the cornerstone of where folk wrestling got its name... these boys can ragdoll 99% of the human populus. Cole Konrad although being an incredibly strong and proficient grappler just wasn't entertaining enough to prove himself in the UFC. Although the UFC does pride itself on having the most elite fighters in the world, some of the truly best linger in outside organizations because their skillset just isn't good for casual fans.
Guys like Ben Askren and Cole Konrad could most likely become the greatest fighter on Earth by sitting on their opponent for 5 rounds and boring the entire nation to death..
...and I actually wouldn't mind that since I'd know who the real baddest mfer on Earth is.
Konrad never really seemed to enjoy fighting, and who could blame a lifetime wrestler trying to adapt to eating punches in the face. It isn't for everybody, even one of the strongest men in existence.
