Brian Christopher Lawler, who was best known as Grandmaster Sexay in the WWE, has died after attempting suicide while he was in jail. Kay, Lawler's mother, spoke with TMZ and told them that her son passed away after being placed on life support. She added that he was surrounded by loved ones, including his brother and his father, Jerry 'The King' Lawler.

Apparently, jail guards at the facility, just outside of Memphis, discovered Lawler tried hanging himself. Lawler was taken to the hospital and placed on life support. He remained in critical condition until later Sunday morning.

He was in jail because he was arrested for a DUI, and for leading police on a chase. This was earlier in the month. When police pulled Lawler over, they found an open can of beer. The judge set the bail at forty-thousand dollars.

The WWE released a statement. The organization said that it was saddened to learn that the former WWE star passed away. The wrestler was best known as being part of the tag-team called Too Cool.
