Quotes

As she is before most competitions, Biles was full of pre-match jitters. Telling reporters that she is constantly working on settling her nerves heading into her routines. She said it's all about "consistency and confidence," and it seemed to be the very thing she needed to make history.

She told NBC Sports:

“I knew I was capable of [scoring this well], but I kind of thought I was going to be a nervous wreck and maybe fall apart.”

She couldn't have been more wrong, as she had everything it took to set the gymnastics world on fire.

Twitter

Social media was abuzz after each of her performances. Fans from all over took to Twitter in celebration. Take a look at some of her performances below.

It wasn’t just Bile’s performance that had everyone talking. Donning a teal mint leotard, Biles paid tribute to those who were sexually abused by Larry Nassar with her wardrobe choice, making her wins even more special. The symbolism of her outfit was in reference to the teal ribbons that NCAA athlete victims had worn during competition. Biles was the only one who wore teal in Boston, saying she hoped that it would catch on more.
