Badminton News: Nine players from England's badminton squad who won medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games are seeded at the upcoming 2018 European Championship in Huelva Spain, with Rajiv Ouseph and Chris Adcock / Gabby Adcock pairing up to win the title they won last year.

        English badminton squad won six medals on the Gold Coast of Australia, including two gold medals which is the best British medal achievement at the Commonwealth Games since 2002.

With such a tight 2018 season schedule, the England players will be preparing for a return to European competition which will be held one week away in Huelva, Spain.

Couples Chris Adcock and Gabby Adcock, who won the 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medal, are the top seeds at the 2018 European Championships and will try to defend their mixed doubles title last year. Duo Adcocks also joined Marcus Ellis / Lauren Smith, the silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games seeded third in Huelva later.

Meanwhile, defending European Championship champion Rajiv Ouseph occupies the third seed for the men's singles sector where world champion Victor Axelsen is the top seed is expected to achieve the best result after returning from injury.

Rajiv Ouseph has played 10 times in nine days on the Gold Coast and won mixed team bronze and bronze medals in the men's singles after a remarkable victory in the third place battle against Indian player HS Prannoy.
