The quarter-finals result of the 2018 World Badminton Championship, the Indonesian women's doubles pair, Della Destiara Haris / Rizki Amelia Pradipta, failed to reach the semi-finals of the BWF World Championships 2018. They played at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, China, the Indonesian women's doubles pair must receive for the Japanese pair with acquisition of numbers: 21-17, 12-21, 15-21, Shiho Tanaka / Koharu Yonemoto.

The match is tight on the first game. Left behind 7-11, Della / Rizki then rose and was able to level the score to 11-11. Furthermore, Tanaka / Yonemoto tried to take control of the game and return to superior circumstances 13-11.

Della / Rizki managed to push back the pressure that led them to victory 21-17 at the end of the first game. When entering the second game, Japanese couples play better. They managed to record an 11-7 advantage during the interval, as if reflecting from the first game, Tanaka / Yonemoto continued to maintain the rhythm of the game post-interval.

A good ball placement and a mistake from Della / Rizki made Tanaka / Yonemoto successfully force the game to continue into the third game, aka rubber game.

In the determination game, Della / Rizki had a 5-3 lead. But after that, their performance weakened again and lagged behind 7-11 from the opposing side. Della / Rizki attempted to catch up with their numerical difference with Tanaka / Yonemoto, but the final result remained in favor of the Japanese pair.

Indonesia still leaves one more female double pair that has not competed, namely Anggia Shitta Awanda / Ni Ketut Mahadewi Istarani.
