The SBP is now looking for improvements and program preparation that they will have a more respectable performance on the team internationally so people will be proud of them.
After they have met with the members of PBA Board where they have agreed to lend some players from NLEX and Rain or Shine.

This will be a great disappointment for the countries campaign in Asian Games. Basketball participation internationally has been the most anticipated game by the Filipino people.
With sanctions already been applied to Gilas players that are involved in a brawl against Australian Team, where 10 Gilas players were suspended as well as SBP were fined by FIBA with the amount of 13 million pesos.
It was also shocking for PBA legend and now Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner Ramon 'El Presidente' Fernandez, but he informed that the agency has nothing to do to change the decision for Team Philippines not participating in Asian Games since it has been the decision of SBP and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).
The Games and Amusement Board (GAB) chairman Baham Mitra said that the delegation's campaign will not include the basketball team in the Asian Games.

My Opinion About This Article
It has been a hard decision of Team Philippines in basketball but it is the only way to develop and restructure their system in their program that they will have a better performance in future international basketball and that Filipino people will be proud at them.
I'm on the full support of what would be the best decision but still looking forward to Team Philippine to play future international basketball especially in Asian and FIBA.
