Club Brugge, the champion of Belgium will meet today Standard Liege, the Belgian Cup winner of the last season, in the match for the Super Cup of Belgium.

These two teams have meet in the Super Cup a few seasons ago and Club Brugge has been victorious that day. The en-titre champion is favorite to win this match, but in a match like this, on a stadium with a capacity of 30,000 seats, Standard Liege is definitely able to provide good performance for its supporters.

Brugge will normally have the biggest budget for the transfer campaign and has more resources and a better team than Liege but this game should be very open and in my opinion the Super Cup winner is unclear in this moment.

The last three direct matches ended in a draw, including a very spectacular draw that ended with a score of 4-4.

A worrying thing for Standard Liege supporters is that their team has won only a single game in the last nine matches with Brugge.

I'm expecting an open match because the Super Cup is not the most important trophy in Belgium, so the tactics of the two teams could be pretty offensive and we will have chances to see goals at both gates besides a lot of opportunities to score.
