Premier League
The Reverend Prediction Model follows the bookies here in all its picks but for the game Brighton v Manchester United, where it predicts Man Utd under-performing.
Championship
Unlike the picks for the Premier League, the model's picks for the Championship are much more colorful. It predicts good perfromance by Swansea and Stoke, Millwall losing at the Den,...
Two biggest surprises (according to my model) should be:
- Ipswich winning over Aston Villa
- Sheffield Utd losing to Norwich
League One
Here we have just one exotic pick and that is Sunderland losing at home to Scunthorpe. The Scunthorpe's win @4.41 sounds tempting, but if I had to place a bigger bet here I would go with Scunthorpe +0.5 @1.99.
League Two
Here, my model follows the bookies in all but three games:
- Cheltenham losing at home to Carlisle
- A draw in the Mansfield v Colchester game
- Crewe Alexandra surprising MK Dons
National League
While the clubs from the higher leagues were busy playing the Carabao Cup, the clubs from the National League have played their third game week.
The model did well predicting the outcomes during the gw3 (7W5L + 6.252 units profit). Let's see if it can repeat it during this game week.
A few interesting picks:
- Salford City losing at home
- A draw in the Leyton Orient v Boreham Wood game
- Wrexham losing to Eastleigh
The End
That would be all for this weekend. The reports for the midweek and the weekend action will be published the next week as one post.
