... or the art of spinning my wheels. This week I almost got the result but the very very late penalty killed it. Well, onto the next one but before we do that it's time to see what went wrong and what went right.
Aston Villa 2 - 0 Everton - Everton -0.25 @1.970 [LOST]
Everton can't score if their lives depended on it. I thought they'll find their mojo against the side with leaky defence, but no luck.
Norwich 2 - 3 Chelsea - Norwich +0.25 @2.490 [LOST]
Norwich looked fine for a while, then they turned into Chelsea - a cheap battery. They just couldn't keep up with the visitors and deservedly lost the game making Frank Lampard one happy guy.
Brighton 0 - 2 Southampton - Southampton +0 @2.220 [WON]
As predicted, Southampton did well. An early red card for the home team did help a lot, though.
Manchester Utd 1 - 2 Crystal Palace - Man Utd -1.5 @2.110 [LOST]
A total opposite of what I predicted. Crystal Palace returned to their old tricks, sucking at home and getting the results away while Manchester Utd just fell apart. Even though they out played the visitors, Rashford and de Gea made sure that they travel back home with three points.
Sheffield Utd 1 - 2 Leicester - Leicester -0.25 @1.952 [WON]
Sheffield Utd continues to impress with solid performance, but they couldn't get anything out of this game.
Watford 1 - 3 West Ham - West Ham +0 @2.640 [WON]
Writing about this match I said that both side suck and that my reason for backing the visitors is just the better odds than backing the home side. It turned out that Watford sucks much more than West Ham.
Liverpool 3 - 1 Arsenal - Over 3.5 @2.190 [WON]
Arsenal looked really bad in this one. They did have some good chances (Pepe - what a miss!) but in general, it's been all Liverpool.
Bournemouth 1 - 3 Manchester City - Under 3.5 @1.943 [LOST]
Let's just say I've misread this one :-) In my mind this should have been 1-2 game, but the visitors decided that scoring just two is not enough.
Wolves 1 - 1 Burnley - Under 2 @2.210 [PUSH]
As expected, just a few days after winning 3-2 against Torino, Wolves were a bit slow and not all there. I thought this would be 1-0 win for either side or a boring draw and I was right up to the last minute of the game when the home side got a penalty.
Tottenham 0 - 1 Newcastle - Over 3 @1.943 [LOST]
Spurs... ha ha
On a serious note, Steve Bruce fielded a great lineup that made him proud and from now on I can't be making fun of him. Spurs had the possession, but their attack was impotent.
Here are the numbers:
4W5L1P | +0.002 | ROI +0.02%
which brings my totals for this season to:
56 Bets | 18W35L3P | - 7.255 | -10.95%
I've got a long long way to go yet. Good luck!
