Odds boost, Preview, Predictions and Betting Tips on Real Madrid v Barcelona, Spurs v Arsenal & Everton v Liverpool

This time around we bring you betting tips and predictions on Real Madrid v Barcelona, Spurs v Arsenal and Everton v Liverpool. These 3 games represent some of the biggest rivalries in Europe and we are happy to offer you the best odds on these epic encounters.

Real Madrid v Barcelona

Earlier in the week we saw Barcelona defeat their bitter rivals Real in the domestic cup competition but that game in all honesty was just an amuse-bouche in preparation for the main course which will be served up on Saturday evening.

The 3-0 score line in that match also played at the Bernabéu suggests that Barcelona should be considered big favourites for this game but the truth of the matter is that Real had a number of excellent chances to score early on in the game and were more than a match for the league leaders throughout the 90mins. Sitting 9 points behind Barca, this is a must win game for Real if they are to maintain their slim hopes of overhauling the Catalan giants.

For their part Barcelona were far more clinical in front of goal than Real, scoring with their first shot of the game and managing to just about hold their opponents at arms length. The right side of defence has been a real concern for Barca in recent games and it was down that flank that Real had most of their success in the cup semi-final.

Team News

Central defender Nacho is suspend for Real following his sending off last weekend. The out of favour Isco has not started a game for Los Blancos this month while former Premier League stars Gareth Bale and Philippe Coutinho are not guaranteed places in the starting 11.

Stats

  • Despite being beaten 3-0 in mid-week Real Madrid managed 14 shots at goal
  • A Barca victory would take them level with Madrid on 72 wins a piece in El Classico history
  • 14 of the last 15 fixtures between these 2 teams have contained 2.5 goals or more

Betting

This is a difficult game to call and all 3 results are very much a possibility. That being said Real Madrid and in particular young Brazilian Vinícius Júnior who yesterday earned his first call up to the the Brazil squad could yet cause Barcelona some problems.

Goals seem likely in this match so we recommend taking over 2.5 @ odds of around 1.5 or better

Spurs v Arsenal

Tottenham had been on a fine run of form with 5 straight victories taking them to within touching distance of the top 2. However, a defeat at Burnley and then a dreadful display against London rivals Chelsea have not only ended any hopes of a late charge for the title but have left the North Londoners looking nervously over their shoulder at the pack chasing them down for a Champions League spot - 4 doesn't go into 2!

Arsenal would love to heap further misery on Spurs and a win in this fixture would see them move to just a point behind their bitter rivals. Form wise Arsenal have been enjoying themselves with a run of 3 home wins on the trot that have lead to 10 goals, half of which came against Bournemouth in midweek.

While Arsenal have struggled away from home this season so Spurs have been unable to find any real consistency at their adopted ground of Wembley. The red half of North London go into this game full of confidence and in the knowledge that they outplayed and outfought the Lillywhites in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Spurs need a dramatic turnaround in form from their previous 2 games in order to stop the rot.

Team News

Plenty of question marks remain over the fitness of several key players for this crucial match. For Spurs Delli Alli is close to returning to first team duties following a 6 week spell on the sidelines but this match may come too soon for the England international. Jan Vertonghen's calming presence was certainly missed at the back on Wednesday night and it's unclear as to whether he will have recovered from the hip problem that kept him out of that game. For Arsenal, the biggest injury concern is captain Laurent Koscielny who suffered a knock in the midweek match and will undergo a late fitness test.

Stats

  • Tottenham have not lost 3 EPL games in a row since 2012 when they beaten by, you guessed it, Arsenal!
  • Spurs have lost 5 of their last 7 matches against other top 6 sides
  • Arsenal have not managed to keep a clean sheet in any of their away fixtures this season
  • Aubameyang has scored 6 goals against London rivals this season

Betting

Given Spurs woeful form and Arsenal's hot-streak the visitors look a pretty decent price to upset the bookies and one half of North London.

This is likely to be a blood and thunder contest with both sides desperately needing a win. Expect goals and take over 2.5 goals at prices of around 1.7 or better

Everton v Liverpool

Both sides enjoyed a return to winning ways in midweek which should set us up nicely for what is sure to be an exhilarating Merseyside derby. Liverpool appear to have been feeling the pressure of late but perhaps the 5-0 trouncing of Watford on Wednesday will have blown away a few of the cobwebs and allow them to get their title charge back on course.

Despite a fairly poor run of form of late Everton secured a comfortable 3-0 win at Cardiff during the week. Home form has undoubtedly been a problem for them this year but you'd assume that the atmosphere on Sunday will be different from just the average fixture at Goodison. While Everton lost at home against title challengers Man City a couple of weeks ago, they showed enough in that fixture to suggest that they will not be pushovers in their own back yard.

Perhaps Everton's biggest problem of recent matches has been their defensive uncertainty from set-pieces and with VVD suddenly adding goal-scoring to his impressive list of defensive achievements this year then Everton must beware giving away needless corners and free-kicks around the box. The advantage of course that Everton are likely to posses comes in the form of fitness and the fact that this will be just their 2nd game in over 2 weeks whereas Liverpool will be completing their 4 match in 13days.

Team News

Everton's long injury list could finally set to be cleared with only veteran Leighton Baines struggling to regain fitness in time for this match.

Jurgen Klopp has stated that forward Firmino has a "big chance" of making a comeback to the starting line-up following a knock he sustained in last weekend's game against Man Utd. Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren remain sidelined but otherwise Klopp has a strong squad at his disposal.

Stats

  • Both sides have won 2 of their last 6 matches in all competitions
  • This fixture has provided more draws than any other match-up in Premier League history - 21 out the 53 games have finished level
  • Everton left-back Lucas Digne has provided more crosses than any other player this season

Betting

Man City will have faced Bournemouth the day before this game takes place and you would imagine that they will win with ease. Klopp believes that the 5-0 victory over Watford has proved the doubters wrong but we will have to wait and see what Liverpool's reaction to having to chase is like.

As we saw in December, this fixtures doesn't always produce the most open of games and as such we are backing under 2.5 goals at anything better than evens.
