Hello everyone. Starting with a question that is it only me with my half glass full or there are actually an increased number of fixtures with available SCR? By the way, if a slight drop in price may cause an enhanced activity on the platform then at least I am happy with such trade-off because it would have long-term positive effects. Anyways, let's get to the main topic of the post where today I would present predictions and my picks for Scottish Premiership and German Bundesliga.

  • Scotland Premiership Predictions

  1. Aberdeen vs. Livingston

The hosts from this fixture are currently at the 3rd place while the visitors are at the bottom of the first half of the table. Despite that, the visitors managed to defeat a much better team Kilmarnock but the match was in front of the home crowd. Their away record has not been very impressive as they hardly could manage a couple of victories during the whole season. The hosts are not currently at the best of their form either but they have been performing slightly better than the guests. Especially, their handsome away win against the topper Rangers gave them a positive boost and considering the home ground advantage, they would perhaps manage to score a goal or 2 while keeping a clean sheet. Even though both teams have a good defense but the goal scoring figures also favor the home team.

2. Rangers FC vs. Kilmarnock

The hosts are the hot favorite here despite that they are just 2 places ahead of the visitors at the top of the table. The main reason for hosts being favorite is that they have been a cruel side to play against as they scored an average of over 3 goals against teams with slightly lower potential. In fact, in their recent head-to-head fixture, the hosts blasted the visitors net with whopping 5 goals to nil. The visitors were in a good form before but recently they could only manage to defeat the underdog St. Mirren with just a single goal. Hence, it can be assumed that they are not only finding it hard to score but also to keep stronger opponents away from their own net. The visitors would perhaps put more focus on their defenses and this might not be another 5 goals victory for the home team, therefore, offering no more than just a single goal advantage to the visitors would be adequate offer.

3. Hibernian vs. Motherwell FC

This is probably going to be the most interesting fixture of this session as both teams are fighting for the 6th place to claim a championship spot. The hosts are currently occupying the position with 2 points lead and they would be required to demonstrate an exceptional performance if they wish to maintain the gap because the visitors may attempt their best to snatch a victory here. Both teams are in an almost equal form which can be observed from their same win/draw/loss percentages. Their recent head-to-head reverse fixture was won by the visitors and they are also having a pretty decent away form with over 50% wins. The home team, however, has a better scoring potential but I believe that they would focus more on their defense this time as even a low-scoring draw might be a happy ending for them.

4. Hamilton Ac. vs. Heart Midl

The hosts from the 10th place would welcome the visitors from the 5th but this might not be a very warm one as the hosts might be looking to take advantage of the visitor's inconsistent form. A few fixtures back the away team was suffering immensely with a losing streak followed by draws. They could hardly manage a draw in a fixture with a complete underdog St. Mirren and that too at the home ground in addition to facing a defeat by Motherwell FC and Celtic. Despite that, they have won their recent two fixtures with a small margin but perhaps they cannot be fully trusted especially at the low odds of 1.7. The home side is not the best one to back either as they have the most terrible defense among all teams but they have been claiming some victories somehow. Their defense might not be put to a huge test at this time as some key attackers from the away team are suffering from injuries, therefore, backing draw with a small stake may prove to be more valuable.

5. St. Johnstone vs. St. Mirren

If this clash between the two saints had taken place some time back, I would have been much more confident in predicting a strong home win but the hosts have been in a bad form recently. I would not say terrible even though they have lost over 60% of the matches because their fixtures were comparatively tougher. They could only secure a draw with the topper Ranger and lost almost all of the remaining ones because of which they have dropped down to the 8th place while the visitors are at the bottom (12th). The away team, however, managed to pull a couple of draws and they are trying their best to keep their heads high but I believe that the home team would see this fixture as a comeback. The hosts would most definitely want to have a victory here, otherwise, their morale would be completely shattered for the remaining brief period of the season.

  1. Stuttgart vs. Hoffenheim

The host team is nearly hitting the rock bottom of the table even though they have marked some victories with their good performance such as a 5-1 against Hannover. However, their opponent team were an underdog and that is perhaps their only earned medal in recent times as they almost failed in the rest of their fixtures. The visitors have not been exceptional as well but they have been giving some tough time to even the proudest sides such as 3 goals draw with Dortmund, a draw with Fortuna and Leipzig. Moreover, they have almost three times the scoring potential and half the conceding as compared to their current opponents, which is probably enough evidence to back them in this fixture.

2. Schalke vs. RB Leipzig

Most of us might have probably recognized the host side by now. They are the team who attempted a hook on the moon which dropped back on their head causing them to lose with an aggregate of 10-2 to the beast Manchester City. Their previous form was not very exceptional as well and the champions league trip was probably an additional nail in their coffin. They have consecutively lost all of their recent fixtures and with huge goal margins and to their bad luck that this fixture is also against a Titan. The visitors are the bad boys of the league and they do not settle for less than at least a draw even when they are on the road. The away team would be happy to feed off the home team's demons in order to claim another comfortable victory here with their high scoring and low conceding potential. These are one of those fixtures that tempts me to bet with a larger stake than usual and I am looking forward to it.

3. Wolfsburg vs. Dusseldorf

If you remember what I said about my dilemma with the team 'Atalanta', the hosts are somewhat in the same condition. Whenever I back them, they lose and vice versa that now I have a feeling that I should go against them. Especially, in this case, when the visitors are one of my liked team's and the odds are very adequate as well. But, I am holding my nerves and better take a decision after analyzing the stats comparison. The hosts faced a terrible 6 goals defeat to Bayern and they even lost to Leipzig, on the other hand, they beat Monchengladbach and Mainz with 3 goals. They have an overall 66% win and draws while the visitors have about 60%. The host's home form is slightly weaker than the visitors away form. Both teams have almost the same goal scoring potential while the hosts have a slightly lower conceding potential. Everything seems to be in a perfect balance which indicates the high possibility of a high-scoring draw. However, the high scoring draws are always riskier so I would go with some other options.

4. Augsburg vs. Hannover

A weaker team from the league is hosting the weakest, where the visitors have lost almost all of their recent fixtures and are just sitting still while claiming the second last spot. It seems that their spark is fully gone and they are just waiting to be relegated. The home team is not an extra-ordinary side but they are still fighting hard to make their presence known. To our surprise, they managed to defeat Dortmund and pulled a goalless draw with Leipzig. Let's not talk about the rest of their fixtures because somehow their goal scoring and conceding potentials are the same as that of the visitors. However, considering their strong spirit it would be better to back the hosts in this one.
