My first post to the Scorum community on my BetScorum Picks resulted in a profitable day. With 2/3 wins, I received a total profit of 0,46 SCR from a stake of 1,51 SCR. That amounts to a 30,46% return on Sunday, 23 December 2018. The following events took place in my three selections.
Bundesliga - Augsburg vs Wolfsburg (WIN)
Pick - Wolfsburg or Draw @ 1,609
Wolfsburg got off to a slow start with limited possession but began to dominate the final 15 minutes of the first half to go 2 goals up by half time. I had felt confident of a win for my bet at this point but this being the wonderful game of football saw drastic changes in the second half. Augsburg came back to score twice before the 60th minute to level the score at 2-2. This would have allowed my bet to still win but one more goal for Augsburg could turn my bet entirely. Luckily, however, Wolfsburg put the game to rest in the 89th minute to take the win by a scoreline of 3-2.
Premier League - Everton vs Tottenham (WIN)
Pick - Tottenham to Win @ 2,3
Tottenham as predicted took the win, however, the extent of their win was a comeplete surprise. Everton took a surprise early lead in the 21st minutes but it only took 20 minutes and some brilliance from Son, Alli and Kane to end the first half 3-1 up. My thoughts as well as many others on over 2,5 goals were already well surpassed at half time. The second half was again dominated by Tottenham to score a further 3 goals and unfortunately conceding to Sigurdsson early in the half to end the game of 6-2 to Tottenham. Tottenham have definitely put out a message to the rest of the top 6 that they are still well in the title race.
La Liga - Rayo Vallecano vs Levante (LOSS)
Pick - Levante or Draw @ 1,793
An unfortunate end to my two early wins which started with Levante conceding an own goal courtesy of Tono. Levante leveled the score in the 60th minute through Ruben Rochina as assisted by Jose Luis Morales who returned from suspension. Levante, however, could not hold onto the draw nor attempt for the win as they conceded only 8 minutes later to allow Rayo to take their third victory of the season to pull themselves within 2 points from leaving the relegation zone.
Overall, I am quite pleased with today’s results and will only have 1 bet for Monday, 24 December 2018 seeing that there is few major matches with the festive season. This will be my only bet and I will continue with the many Boxing Day fixtures awaiting us in the coming days.
Turkey Super Lig - Antalyaspor vs Fenerbahce
Pick - Antalyaspor to Win @ 3,702 (I may consider placing the bet on an Antalyaspor or Draw bet when the odds are uploaded)
- Antalyaspor have their best performance at home. Scoring their most goals (10/19) and concede their least goals at home (9/21).
- Fenerbahce are sitting in 17th place and at risk of relegation after finishing 2nd last season.
- Fenerbahce have only attained 5 points from 8 away games this season with only 1 win.
- Fenerbahce has only scored 4 away goals this season. Last season they beat Antalyaspor 1-0 away from home.
Fenerbahce’s weak form this season makes an Antalyaspor Win or Draw bet to be extremely good value. The game could be low scoring and thus a Double Chance bet would assist in minimizing losses but I still believe Antalyaspor to be the outright winner.
