Naoya "The Monster" Inoue

The Uprising. All 15 Knockouts of "Monster" Naoya Inoue.

Almost once in a decade comes in a certain sports platform a rare talent that has the ability to inspire and awe us all. The Muhammad Ali of boxing or Michael Jordan of basketball and many others. The reason why I mentioned that is because of what I saw from what I scoured from the internet specifically on YouTube.

This one sample video of the many that I watched him is a showcase of his years of performance as a professional athlete and I would admit that his talent, whereabouts, discipline and fighting style really excites me.

See from this video a compilation of the highlights of Naoya "Monster" Inoue so you have an idea to what I am talking about.

What excites me more is that this boxer is coming from Japan. We all know the culture, the history, and the fighting pride of people coming from this region. I would say that unlike the popular media today, it has fewer media showmanship and sensationalism. There would be less marketing, money, and business but more on fighting for guts, glory, and honor over material gain. All the fighting fans like me would really love this.

It is very evident that the fighting sport is much more tainted now by commercialism and "only business" stunt promotion. Watching a fighter rising from Japan is a welcome relief for me. As a fan, I would feel less cheated when all the talks and posturings are not just for show but real emotions that come up when fighters are expressing their real thoughts and passion about the sport..

Watching from Press Conferences I see a more respectful yet very competitive atmosphere. Fewer media stunts and attention this time but more substance and heart when it comes to ring performance.

Fighting Style and Profile.

In this one video, his fighting style is being compared to that of Gennady Golovkin. Although I would side on the similarity of his movement with Manny Pacquaio during his younger years because of his footwork, athleticism and ring movements.

Nevertheless, this video offers an analysis of his fighting style that would make us conclude that he is not just a one-dimensional fighter and could also adjust his strategy during fights. A talented, gutsy, powerful, and thinking fighter. Now I say, that is indeed a great winning formula to a long reign of being a boxing champion

Please watch this video and assess it yourself, if his analysis makes sense or not.
