Just days after announcing a huge fight versus Tenshin Nasukawa, Floyd Mayweather pulled out of the fight through a post on Instagram.

Mayweather is clearly all about the money and doesn't seem to be interested in any level of risk taking. Mayweather claims he hadn't agreed to a large scale fight but instead thought he was doing a 3 round private boxing exhibition in front of a group of wealthy individuals. Mayweathers price tag for this 3 round private exhibition? $88.2 million. You can't seriously tell me Mayweather thought he was getting paid $88 mill to put on a little show for a dozen rich dudes. Sorry Mayweather, you are a great boxer but not $88 million just for walking in a building great.

The whole series of event just seems so bizarre. How do you wind up at a press conference to announce a fight that you didn't even agree to? And then Mayweather claims he didn't even know who his opponent was. You were gonna get paid $88 million and didn't even bother to google your opponent? And then Floyd closes by saying he just didn't want to start a disturbance so he just let the whole press conference play out.

Feels more like Mayweather finally looked up Nasukawa's highlight reel and realized that is not a dude he wanted to get in the ring with. Young, undefeated, 27 wins, 20 by knockout. Don't worry Floyd, I wouldn't get in the ring with him either.

The whole ordeal, even with Mayweather backing out, seems like great publicity for RIZIN and Nasukawa. The whole world has had their eye's on Nasukawa this week and this little bit of spotlight could really help increase his popularity. I suspect their New Years card will still be a huge success even without Mayweather on it.

In the end Mayweather gets his name back in the headlines and doesn't even have to get in the ring. The tail end of his career is turning into a bit of a circus.
