Hello everyone, Chimzy here with another exciting and brand new sports content… this time, I will be talking about boxing, a sport that I recently started liking and enjoying…

This post is going to be about one of the best boxing matches of all time and it is a fight between Mohammed Ali and Joe Frazier… the fight that really got the whole boxing lovers across the world really interested in…

These two great boxers where very different in many ways, they were different in lifestyle and fighting style…

They were known to bring out the best out of each other in the boxing ring…

In 1971, they faced up each other in what I consider, or better still, what the world

considers as one of the greatest fights back in the days…

Both boxers boast of their own fighting styles and techniques…

For Mohammed Ali, it is all about complex footwork and trying to create a circle motion around his opponents and hitting them with powerful jabs… Ali also uses a lot of mind games on his opponents to destabilize and get into the heads of whoever is up against him in a boxing ring…

He focuses more on his speed and powerful punch combinations to surprise his opponent and eventually knock them out…

Frazier, on the other hand, relies on his exceptional defense and head movements to move away from headshots…

he also likes to quickly throw himself at the opponent and landing powerful shots in the process… his defense technique is very good at counter punching or making the opponent gets tired quickly…

The Pre-Fight:

The fight between Mohammed Ali and Joe Frazier was more than just a fight, it meant much for both of them and the whole boxing community as well…

Before the fight, Ali was recently out of suspension which he faced and lost his license, because he refused to be part of the Vietnam War which he clearly did not agree with… His title got stripped, but it didn’t stop Ali from pushing hard and trying. After 3 years, Ali got his boxing license back. From that moment, the world had the chance to witness the most remarkable fights of two undefeated boxers of their time and the match was simply a match to remember…

At the time of the fight, Ali was really waiting for the response of the Supreme Court concerning his appeal and he had it at the back of his mind that at any moment, he could lose the appeal and face a 5-year imprisonment sentence. But luckily, he didn't.

And that is it for today… In order not to make this post long and boring… I have decided to break it up and keep it short and sweet…

In my next post, I will be talking about the fight… stay connected as the post will be up next.

I hope you enjoyed this… If you did, I will like to hear your view…

Have a great and pleasant day…
