OH! HOW LOW THEY MUST HAVE FELT...

In participation for the weekly "HAPPY MOAN-DAY CONTEST" organized by Pete, I am putting down this entry. It is one of the two contests he organizes weekly and if you feel you are not getting the required recognition you deserve for your hard work, or you feel you have an odd or pitiful occurrence concerning sports within the past week in mind, check the link below for how to go about putting down your piece.

WEST INDIES BLOWN AWAY WITH EASE..

The last time Windies suffered a similar defeat at the hands of India was at the Port of Spain in 1997, Windies lasted more than 31.5 overs and were rolled over for 121 overs as opposed to the recent roll over of 104.

India's Spinner Ravindra Jadeja was the hero of the day as it took him four wickets to disperse Windies for their lowest ODI total against India. Rohit Sharma hammered an unbeaten 63 from 56 balls, it took India less than 15 overs to rack up a nine-wicket victory.

Marlon Samuels of Windies would be wondering why he mounted a counter-attack after Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah has reduced Windies to 2-2 inside the first two overs. Unfortunately, he became a victim for Jadeja as Jadeja dashed all hope there is for Windies of coming back into the game by finishing with 4-34 figures.

With players like Skipper Jason Holder and Oshane Thomas exhibiting moments of brilliance, it just wasn't enough for Windies to avoid the humiliating defeat..

It is reported both sides travel to Kolkata on Sunday for the 1st of three T20 internationals and so I have a quote from Malcom X for West Indies,, "There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time."

I hope West Indies improves their performance next time..
