Good Morning to all, as IPL known as one of Festival in India because its a because cricket league of the world so people always exciting to see especially for high scoring game which exactly happened yesterday as there were two matches where both were high scoring matches where one of them is close encounter so let discuss about Sunday's two matches.
Kolkata Knight Riders v/s Sunrisers Hyderabad
the first match was between Kolkata Knight Riders and Hyderabad at most Iconic stadium Eden Garden, Kolkata. Knight Riders won the toss and like before they chose to bowl first because now it becomes trends that chose to bowl first because always easy to chase in T20. first, the biggest surprise came as there were no Williamson in the Sunrisers team and Bairstow in place of him. David Warner also back in the team after one year and thus Bhuwneshwar did captain work for this match.
Sunrisers gave solid starts as their opening partnership made 118 runs in just 13 overs which was a good platform for upcoming batsmen. Bairstow who performed the first time for the Sunrisers made useful 39 runs who gave good support to Warner. David Warner kept scoring from other side and made superb 85 runs in 53 balls with 3 sixes and 9 fours. after him out, Shankar played little cameo and made 40 runs in 24 balls with 2 fours and two sixes. Sunrisers finished 181 for 3 which looks 10 or 15 runs shorts from expecting because they gave solid opening starts.
Knight Riders have not got a good start as they lose Lynn early in big run chase but after a slow start, they got a good rhythm because Uthappa and Nitish Rana made 80 runs partnership for the second wicket which brought them back in the game but once Uthappa out, they kept losing wickets and thus they start losing game from their hand. once Nitish Rana out on 68 then it looks almost impossible for them to win the game because not much batting left as they need 53 runs in 18 balls but then came fantastic inning of Andre Russell who made this impossible target to possible and helped his time to famous victory. in last over they need 14 runs where Subhman Gill smashed two sixes and finish the inning. Russell made 49 runs in just 19 balls and for his crucial inning, he named a man of the match.
Mumbai Indians v/s Delhi Capitals
the second match was between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals which was played at Wankhede, Mumbai. here also team chose to bowl first who won the toss and they were Mumbai. Wankhede is high scoring ground and it happened too. Delhi came with new names and lots of new players and this time they look a strong team. Mumbai did some changes too as they included De Kock in the team in place of Evin Lewis. Mumbai has also included young talent Rashikh Salam who is just 17 years old fast bowler.
Delhi Capitals looks aggressive but they lose two wickets early but after it Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Ingram balanced their inning and took at the good platform from where Rishabh Pant play freely and took Delhi to another level which was exactly happened. Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Ingram made 83 runs Partnership. after it, its a time of Rishabh Pant who smashing boundaries everywhere and made quick 78 runs in 27 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes which took his team total to 213. in last over of the last ball, Jasprit Bumrah's Shoulder was stuck while dived for stop the ball and we all hope he is not injured because we all want him for World Cup.
Mumbai did good start while chasing big total as Rohit Sharma came for opening with De Kock but Rohit Sharma was out in 4th over by Ishant Sharma. De Kock was looking in good touch and made quick 27 but he also out early as by brilliant catch by Boult on the boundary. Pollard looks also good but out on 21 and thus all burden came on Yuvraj Singh so played the first time for Mumbai. Yuvraj and Krunal Pandya showed some courage but they kept losing a wicket on a regular interval. Yuvraj made well 50 but it did not help his team to reach victory because of his team only able to make 176 runs. Kagiso Rabada did once again brilliant bowling for Delhi as once he bowled wonderful yorkers at more than 150KPH. Rishabh Pant named the man of the match for his wonderful performance.
