In this T-20 Women World cup, Indian team is performing excellent. Indian team has won all their four matches which have been played till today. The team has reached into the semi-final. Yesterday, There was a match between India and Australia. In that match, India got the victory.
India started to bat first. Opener Smriti Madhan played an excellent inning of and her carrier`s best 83 runs. Smriti proved herself very attacking and with help of 9 fours and 3 sixes she achieved this score. She faced only 55 balls to make this 83 runs. Captain Harmanpreet again blasted by contributing 43 runs in 27 balls only. With the help of two batsmen India able to make score 167 runs with the loss of 8 wickets.
Indian bowlers were also able to notched up wickets by spending very fewer runs. Anuja spent 15 runs and notched up 3 wickets. Radha also got two wickets by spending 13 runs. Poonam Yadav and Deepti both notched two wickets forced Australia to stop at 119 runs.
Start of Australia was good but they could not able to turn that start into a successful one. Suddenly in an over Deepti notched up two wickets. After that Australian team came under pressure. In a few minutes, Australian skipper also went to the pavilion. She only able to make 10 runs. Again for Australia, Ellis Perry scored highest 39 unbeaten in 28 balls for with three fours and one six.
Though this match was not important for both teams because both of the team had already made their places reserved in the semi-final. In the semi-final, India faces either England or WI. This match is only for formality. It is really good to hear that India reached the semi-final. In T-20 India has reached once more. Indian Women team have never won this title.
