Day 2 belongs to India because the way Indian middle orders batted and takes the score to reach the score of West Indies. K.L Rahul who was out for duck in the first test and also he scored just 4 runs in the second test .It thinks that rahul is not in good form then how he will be selected in Australia squad in upcoming months. Cheteshvar pujara was also out after 11 runs and team India were in difficult situation after that rahane and Kohli partnership gives some hope and takes the score at 200 and after that virat Kohli was out for adding 45 runs. Ajinkya Rahane,prithvi Shaw and Rishabh pant were the run scorer for Team India.
The 100+ partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh pant made India to reach the score of 300. At the end of day 2 India is 308-4 with still six wickets in hand. It means India will play for next 2 session of day 3 and give a minimum lead of 200.Beside this prithvi Shaw made people little entertainment by cracking a 70 runs in less amount of balls used. Skipper virat Kohli played a 45 runs innings and got out. Many things happen on day 2 for Team India.after all out west Indies on score of 311 runs India come for batting before the lunch and kl rahul got out at score of just 4 runs.
Umesh yadav has proved that he is good bowler in the absent of jasprit bumrah and bhubneshvar kumar. Umesh yadav had taken just 1 wicket in 1 match then also he had given second chance to prove himself. He has taken 6 wickets in the second match of 1st innings. He is notifying the selector about his performance for the Australian tour in upcoming next month.
After winning the first match India was strong to win the second match. After winning the toss Westindies captain Jason Holder decided to bat first but the opening pair did not work but their middle order batsman scored some runs out of them roston chase who scored century against India and takes the score above 300. Now India are trailing by just 3 runs only.
