Abu Dhabi Mohammed Hafeez, the experienced all-rounder of the Pakistan Cricket team, will retire from Test cricket after the third and final Test match with New Zealand here. According to the report of the Pakistani newspaper The Dawn, 38-year-old Hafeez has informed the selectors about his decision.

He has said that he now wants to concentrate his entire focus on limited overs cricket. Hafeez has scored only 66 runs in last seven innings since making a century against Australia last month.

Hafeez, who made his Test debut against Bangladesh in Karachi in 2003, has scored 3644 runs in 54 matches. They include 10 centuries and 12 half-centuries. While announcing the retirement on Tuesday, Hafeez said, "I am happy to announce retirement that I have worked hard in my career."
