Yesterday in the draft of Pakistan Super League(PSL), Nepal ’s young cricketer and spin bowling sensational Sandeep Lamichhane was picked by Lahore Qalander. Lahore Qalander is led by AB Devilliers. The price is not fixed yet, but he will get around $50K-$70K. Sandeep was in the Gold Category of foreign player with some top names like Ravi Bopara, Kevin O'Brien and Sikandar Raza. Last year he had included in the silver category but none of the team picked him.

Another Nepali player to be included in the auction was Sompal Kami, who was in Silver Category of a foreign player. But he remained unsold. This is the first time that two Nepali players were included in the PSL draft. The upcoming season four of Pakistan Super League is set to start from the 14th February 2019. The last eight games will be played in Pakistan meanwhile other matches will be played in the UAE. This tournament will be played on round robin and playoffs format.

It is the fourth season of PSL and it will be played from 17 February to 17 March. There are 6 teams playing in the PSL and it is the fourth edition. Islamabad United is the defending Champion who also won the first edition while Peshawar Zalmi won the second edition. Lahore Qalander had been the weakest team in all of the previous three edition and finished bottom in the league in all of these seasons.

After Lamichhane was picked by Delhi Daredevils last year, he is playing all the franchise based tournament around the world. Until now Sandip has played IPL, CPL, Global T20 Canada, PPL, and APL. He is also set to play for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League and Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Right now Sandip is on the United Arab Emirates to play T10 league for the Karachi Kings. Karachi Kings are the defending champion of T10 league and captained by Eion Morgan.
