Nepal ends the trophy drought of four years winning the Icc World T20 Asia Regional Qualifier B in Malaysia and qualifying for the Asia Regional Finals. At Bayuemas Oval, Malaysia today, the match was affected by the rain between Singapore and Nepal and ended without the results. The rain was the convict in what was going to be the most competitive match of the tournament as the top two teams in the table was going head to head. Nepal and Singapore share 1 point each and ended with 5 wins and 11 points each. Nepal won the tournament because of the superior run rate than Singapore.

In today's last game, Nepal won the toss and elected to field first. It was the most crucial game for both sides. Both teams undefeated in the tournament want to give a perfect finish to the tournament. Nepal winning the toss invited Singapore to bat first. Batting first Singapore was restricted to 81 runs in just 17.3 overs. Surendra Chandramohan contributed 25 runs meanwhile only other two batsmen were able to score a double-digit. Sandeep Lamichhane continues his impressive performance. He got four wickets in 3.3 overs conceding just four runs. Karan KC and Sompal Kami also take two wickets each while Lalit Rajbansi and Basant Regmi got one wicket each.

Sandeep Lamichhane with this 4 wickets achieved a new feat in Nepali Cricket and set the record of the most wickets in a tournament by Nepali players. He got 24 wickets in this tournament, before that this record was in the name of Basant Regmi and Binod Das with 21 wickets each. Sandeep was elected a man of the match in three matches against China, Myanmar, and Malaysia.

Chasing the target of 81 runs, Anil Shah and Binod Bhandari opened for Nepal. But in the second ball, Nepal lost the wicket of Anil Shah. Then Parash Khadka came in the field but a heavy rainfall stopped the match. The match couldn't start again and the innings of Nepal stopped at 1/1 in 0.3 overs. The officials declared the match as NR(No Results) and awarded a point each to both sides. Due to the superior run rate, Nepal won the tournament ahead of Singapore who finished in second.
