In today a memorable year for India, which we will never be able to forget in life, being an Indian, going to talk about the moment India and every Indian got recognition in the sports world.
The third edition of the 19 83 Cricket World Cup tournament was. The tournament was held in England from 9 June to 25 June 1983. Eight countries participated in this tournament, such as India, Zimbabwe, West Indies, Australia, England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. India's team was not playing well all the time. India, Zimbabwe, West Indies, Australia were selected from Group A in England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Group B respectively. Of these, India, West Indies, England, and Pakistan were qualified for the semi-finals.

The first semi-final between India and England in Puran Trafford on 22/06/1983 was held and England was selected to bat first before winning the toss. At that time, there was a total of 60 overs in a one-day match, and English batsmen scored a total of 213 runs, losing 10 wickets within 60 overs. Mohinder Amarnath and Roger Binny took two wickets and Kapil Dev took 3 for 35 in eleven over’s, England Graeme Fauler scored 33 runs in 59 balls. In reply, India scored runs in 54.4 over’s losing 04 wickets and India's Yashpal Sharma (61 runs out of 115 balls), Sandeep Patil (32 runs out of 51 balls) and Mohinder Amarnath (46 runs out of 92 balls) and picked up the Man of the Match award for his entire tour, in which he scored 46 runs in his previous bowling success (2/27 in 12 over’s).
And the second semi-final was held on that day between Pakistan and the West Indies at the Oval. West Indies won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat, which they could have achieved only 184 runs by scoring 8 wickets in 60 over’s. In which Mohsin Khan of Pakistan scored 70 runs in 176 balls with 50 runs against the West Indies bowling and he was the only Pakistani batsman to score the first 50 runs of that time. Mc-Cullum Marshall (3/28) and Andy Roberts (2/25) of the West Indies stuck Pakistan to 184 runs with the ball. In reply, Viv Richards (80 runs in 96 balls), who had won the Man of the Match award, made an unbeaten half-century (50 runs in 100 balls) by Larry Gomes and two wickets from Pakistan Had gained his attention on the loss, along with it was reached for the final.
In final India lost the toss and took the decision to bat first against the West Indies team. As the game progressed, the stunning resistance of the tail prevented India from 183 (all-out, 54.4 over’s). When Indian chips were down Kapil Dev said "Team if this is not a winning total it’s definitely a fighting total" One of the popular quotes of all time. However, Indian bowlers used the situation of weather and pitch completely by defeating West Indies by 43 runs in 52 over’s and won the most amazing victory in cricket history. Amarnath and Madan Lal took 3 wickets in which West Indies's top scorer Richards was dismissed with 33 runs in 28 balls. Amarnath was the fastest bowler in the game, who took 3 wickets with only 12 runs in his seven over’s, and once again he was awarded the Man of the Match award for his entire round performance. With this, India had achieved a historic moment in a cricket.
