Nepali opener batswomen made a good start; they made a partnership of 46 runs before Kajal Shereshta was out in 7.2 over. Sita Ranamager scored 42 runs off 42 balls; Kajal contributed 16 runs facing 29 balls. Captain Rubina Chhetri made 25 runs as Indu Burma added 13 runs. Chasing the target of 127 runs, Malaysia were only able to score 92 runs in loss of 7 wickets at the end of 20 overs. WA Duraisingam scored 18 runs off 30 balls, Christina Baret contributed 21 runs, and Sasha Azmi scored not out 16 runs.
