After getting the ODI status in March this year, Nepal has played only one series against the Netherlands. Nepali team was successful to draw the two-game series after winning the second game by a run. Now Nepal is set to play their second ODI series against the UAE, probably on the last week of the January. There will be three ODI matches and three T20 Matches.

One of the top T20 cricket tournament in Nepal i.e. Dhangadi Premier League (DPL) is going to start 2nd February. So there are big chances that the series will be played before the Dhangadi Premier League. Nepal and UAE have faced last time in Malaysia on the Asia Cup Qualifier games. That was the first ODI game for Nepal after getting the ODI status in March. Nepal won the match by 78 runs against the UAE, but they failed to qualify for the Asia Cup. Hong Kong won that qualifier and played in the Asia Cup.
