Pokhara Premier League(PPL) has started from today. This tournament is organized by Queens Event PVT Ltd in the beautiful Pokhara city. The winner of this PPL will get $27000, which is the biggest prize in Nepali domestic cricket.

Chitwan Rhinos is captained by national team skipper Parash Khadka. They have also signed two Indian players for this PPL. Sunny Patel and Smith Patel, Sunny Patel have already played in Everet Premier League and Dhangadi Premier League. He has shown impressive all-round performance in his last two tournaments in Nepal. Smith Patel is going to play first time in Nepal; he has already played for Gujarat in different age group.
Dhangadi Blues have signed Umed Asif and Dyan Lawrence. Umed Asif has represented Pakistan A meanwhile Lawrence has played for Essex. Both players haven’t played before in Nepal and PPL will be their first tournament here.
Pokhara Paltans have signed Mohammed Naved and Ravi Indra Singh. Mohammed Naved is the United Arab Emirates, important bowler. He has played 32 ODI and 23 Twenty20 matches for UAE national team. Ravi Indra Singh is from India; he has played for Punjab in domestic cricket. He has shown good all-round performance for Punjab. Pokhara Paltans has signed Dipesh Khatri and Suman Ghimire as Local Icon Players. Both players represented Nepal U-19 in international level.
First Match – Pokhara Paltans Vs. Biratnagar Titans
Winning the toss, Biratnagar Titans Elected to field first. Pokhara Paltans openers played well, and they were at 53/0 at the end of sixth over. Pokhara Opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 38 runs before getting out in the bowl of Sandeep Lamichhane. Ravi Indra and Asif Sheikh made 94 runs partnership for the second wicket. Asif scored 54 runs meanwhile Ravi Indra score 44 runs. Binod Bhandari played an attacking inning scoring 41. Captain Sharad score seven runs off four balls.Pokhara Paltans made 197 runs in loss of 3 wickets in 20 over.
Chasing a big target, Biratnagar loses three wickets in 5 over for just 34 runs. Aire scored ten runs, Sunil Dhamal scores 11 runs and Jitendra Thakuri 10 runs. For fourth wicket, Raju and Andrew made a partnership of 39 runs. Andrew scored 14 runs, and Raju Rijal scored 30 runs. Pushpa Thapa made 30 runs, and Sandeep Lamichhane made 13 runs. Other players failed to score double-digit. Biratnagar Titans were able to make 138 runs in loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.Pokhara Paltans won the match by 59 runs.
