Wahab Riyaz, the former team mate of Boom Boom Afridi was the man who beared the brunt of punishment coming from his good old cannon. It looked like the clock was turned 20 years back as Afridi was tonking Northern Warriors like he used to when he was in his prime. The fans were treated with a brutal display of hitting from Boom Boom on Saturday night. He smashed 7 sixes in his knock of 59 runs of just 17 balls.

His knock of 59 runs came at strike of around 350 runs per 100 balls which helped Pakhtoons reach a target of 135 runs in 10 overs. The score proved to be big enough for the Northern Warriors to chase down in the alloted 10 overs despite having the prime hitters of modern game in the form of Andre Russell and Nicholas Pooran. Northern Warriors fell short by 13 runs, thanks to Rowman Powell's knock of 80 runs. Pakhtoons reached the finals of t10 league where they will meet Northern Warriors again.

The former team mate of Boom Boom was at the receiving end when he came to bowl the 8th over of the innings. His captain, Darren Sammy had purposefully held him back to bowl at the dearth but little did he know, a hurricane was coming in the form of Shahid Afridi. Afridi hit Wahab Riyaz for four consecutive sixes, something which is not easy because his pace can threaten any batsman in the World. Boom Boom opened his account with a six over fine leg off Ravi Bopara. He got an opportunity and he cashed in in style.

Earlier Pakhtoons started their innings slowly especially Andre Fletcher who really struggled to get going. He was kept in check nicely by Chris Green who bowled really well up front with the new ball. Shafiqullah played well for his 22 while Liam Dawson also played well and supported Afridi very well. For Northern Warriors, Hardus Viljoen picked up 3 wickets for 26 runs off his 2 overs.

Here is a video of his amazing batting display against Warriors.

Northern Warriors didn't start well either as they lost 2 wickets for just 15 runs. Rovman Powell played an excellent knock of 80 runs but that couldn't make much difference as Warriors lost the match by 13 runs. For Pakhtoons, Mohammad Irfan was their best bowler of the night giving aways 20 runs and taking 2 wickets in 2 overs.
