You heard that right, Mr 360, The Superman of Cricket, the one and only ABD is going to play in the 4th edition of PSL. For those of you who don't know anything about A B de Villiers, go check out my first article on scorum, go google 'the greatest batsmen of all time'. He is the best batsman of the modern game and rightfully known as Mr 30 and The Superman of Cricket because of his ability to play shots to every part of the ground. He is one of the few batters who can sweep the ball coming at over 150kmph, he can keep the wickets for you, he can bowl medium pace and he is a tremendous fielder at any part of the ground.
A tweet from the official account of PSL read "the GOAT from South Africa is now a part of PSL! A warm welcome to AB de Villiers." This news is all over the cricket world right now and people are waiting eagerly for the PSL to begin which is scheduled to start from February next year.
There will be a draft to pick players which is scheduled in November this year and every team will get to choose new players in the draft and A B de Villiers is going to be a part of that draft. The Lahore Qalandars franchise will be jumping out of joy as this might turn out to be a blessing for them because they will be the first team to pick a new player after finishing at the bottom of the table for last two consecutive seasons. They might even hand the job of captaincy to him as they have not been performing well under Brendon McCullum.
De Villiers announced his retirement from all forms of the cricket after the end of this season's IPL. His announcement came as a shock to all cricket fans and everyone wanted him to continue as there is still a lot of cricket left in him. He soon changed his mind and opted to play t20 leagues around the World apart from domestic leagues much to the relief of his fans.
His participation will be a huge boost for PSL as he will bring millions of fans with him who will be more than happy to spend a few bucks to watch him play. He is also touted to play in the Big Bash League starting December this year.
