Nepal is ready to play ACC U-16 cricket matches starting today in Thailand. Under 16 team of Nepal has already headed in Thailand on Thursday. The tournament will be held from April 20-28 in Thailand. A total of 8 teams are participating in the tournament.

Nepal, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Hongkong, China, Bhutan and the host Thailand are participating in the tournament. The matches will be 35 overs per side. Nepal is the defending champion of ACC U-16 Cricket. In 2017, Nepal defeated Singapore in the finals to win the title of the tournament which was held in Malaysia.

Nepal will play under the captaincy of Bishal Bikram Kc. The other players of the team are Prashant Mahat, Ayush Bhattarai, Arjun Kumal, Dipak Bohara, Subash Airi, Nikhil Kumar Singh, Bishal Kumar Patel, Krish Karki, Tilak Raj Bhandari, Ramesh Kurmi, Rohan Dudhraj Bika, Prashant singh and Sushant Thapa. Subash Airi and Bishal Bikram Kc had played the tournament 2 years ago as well. The extra players are Abhisekh Gautam, Parshuram Yadav, Arbaz Ansari and Bibek Darasi. The head coach of Nepal is Basanta Shahi. Team Manager will be Sudeep Sharma while Physio will be handled by Dinesh Bhatta.

Out of 8 teams, they are separated in two groups of 4 teams each. Nepal is placed in Group A along with the host Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar. Singapore, HongKong, china and Bhutan are in the Group B in the tournament. Each teams will play 1 game against each other in their respective group. Top 2 teams from each group will reach the semi final of the tournament.

Nepal is playing its first match today against Myanmar. Nepal will play its second match against Malaysia in April 24 and against Thailand in April 25. The semi finals of the tournament will be held in April 27 while the final will be played in April 28. all the matches will be played in 10:30 am (Thailand Time) / 9:15 am (Nepal Time)
