The working committee for Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium has been created. Under the leadership of Dipak Bista, who is the former player of Taekando, 13 members have been selected. 4 of them have been selected as the consultation members.
The consultants are Baikuntha Manandhar who is a former athlete, Raju Shakya former captain of football team of Nepal, Bhawana Ghimire ex- CEO of Cricket Nepal and Jagat Tamata head coach of Cricket Nepal. While captain of cricket team of Nepal Paras Khadka and bowler Sandeep Lamichhane has special position in the committee.
This committee consists of present as well as past players who is a good sign to proceed. Members consits of popular players and organizations from Nepal. In the samiti there are Hari Khadka(football), Sangeena Baidhya(Taekando), Bharat Shah(Volleyball), Binod Das(Cricket), Gaurika Singh(Swimming), Dipak Bista(Karate), Rubina Chhetri(Cricket), Sarswoti Chaudhary(Volleyball), Dipak Maharjan(Boxing), Maheshwor Maharjan(Body Building), Shabitri Bhandari Samba(Football), Anil Gurung(Football) and Chumbi Lama.
The committee will work forward to ask donations for the construction of the stadium in national as well as international level. Players from different games have been selected which is a positive boost in this process. They all are eager to support Dhurmus Suntali in this work. A positive response from the public has already been seen in this process.
Parash and Sandeep are selected as sadbhawana dut in the stadium. This move needs to collect funds from the public in the national as well as international level for the construction of the stadium. More players and organizations will join this move in the future.
