Mayor Cup Saptari Premier League starts from today. This is the second edition of this tournament. All matches will be played in P. B Ground in Rajbiraj. This tournament will be played for a week from June 17 to June 23.
In the first edition of this tournament, there were 3 teams that participated in this tournament. In this edition, 2 more teams are participating. Tilathi, Thunders and Bajaj participated in the first edition while Riders and Dragons are added in this edition of the tournament. All teams have experienced players and some of the most valued players in this tournament are Rajesh Pulami Magar, Mehboob Alam, Manjeet Shrestha, Sunil Dhamala and Pushpa Thapa.
The tournament will be played in single round robin format. All teams will play against each other and the top two teams will face against each other in the final of the tournament. The players are chosen with the help of the auction like last year. A total of 70 players have been chosen by 5 teams.
There are players that have played from the national side and experienced players as well. Warriors and Thunders will play against each other in the opening day of the tournament. All players have reached Saptari for playing the tournament.
