I just finished Death Stranding, after spending over 100 hours walking and more walking. I don’t know if it is the current pandemic, and coincidentally that I lost electricity the past couple of days, this game hit a cord with me throughout the journey. A game about rebuilding a broken country and reconnecting people is refreshing. DS is a game of contradictions:

The environment is beautiful and you are just delivering packages peacefully. Yet the combat/stealth is clunky and poorly done.

You are working with other people online to build a better world, yet you are alone almost the entire game.

All you do is to deliver packages, yet it feels like you are accomplishing so much.

As much as I enjoyed this, I can not recommend it to anyone. I just don’t know how others would feel as it can be deeply personal. But I do love it and glad Kojima has the balls to make something like this.
