Nextcolony my progress so far
Half year ago or so I read about this nice game on scorum on post made by users @dexspartacus and @jon.bonomo. I am big fan of sci-fi, space and space exploration and since I logged in in this game I felt it's going to be more exciting than some games I played before. I implemented strategy to rise mines to gain better productivity together with exploration of points close to my home planet. I didn't have much luck in exploration, but finally after 200 or so missions I founded new planet which I am developing now. I made hard core decision not to invest anything in playing this game except my free time, but to play this game just for fun. That's why I didn't have new Explorer II ship which can travel faster and has bigger probability to find new planets. Game is in active developing and fine people who are doing that like German guy @oli are adding new modules every few weeks. Game becomes more and more interesting every week. At this point it even offers possibility for players to earn tokens. There is in game token called Startdust which you can obtain by exploration, or by selling your ships, planets or items. I knew that for couple of months, but recently I found out how it really works and want to share this with you to help some possible future player. I know few of you are still playing this game (@stimp1024, @dexpartacus I founded you on map I know you're in :), while @sixx abandoned game (big mistake), but have some ships to protect his alpha planet. I also feel @jon.bonomo didn't quit it, but I didn't find him, but feel presence). You can go to wallet section of the game to initiate Stardust conversion to Steem Engine or opposite. For test purposes I converted 1.8 Stardust to Steem Engine and it showed up in my wallet here like this: Then you can trade it for some other token or for Steem. I obtained Stardust via exploration, but now I am selling some ships to gain that valuable asset. Fleet -> sell ships will lead you to page where you can put some of your ships on sale for Startdust. It doesn't need to be ship, it can be planet or item like Blueprint required to build other ships. I invested 400 Stardust earned by exploration to buy blueprint for ship named Cutter with laser weapon and plan to produce and sell them for 10-20 Stardust here. They can be build for few hours and require very little resources. I founded this fine little map of the game, but unfortunately very late. This map can show you where you can explore or where are players which made big mistake and abandoned this game with their resources waiting for your fleet to get them. I founded few like that nearby my home planet and I am raiding them often to gain Uranium and Copper, Ore and Coal. I know it's now very nice, but they abandoned game and I haven't got many planets and must gain some resources somewhere. I am still very green for real battles, lack laser ships and don't fully understand how battle module works. Hope I'll be under radar of big players and avoid raiding of my planet. If I knew this information in the past I could develop faster. You can also see active fleets, flights and much more. It's very useful tool. Just don't try to load entire map because it will kill your browser. Go to specific coordinates or enter username you are searching and you'll be good. I really think this game has big chance to become better and bigger success than crypto cats. It's not about buying add on for your cats, but about serious things like space exploration, conquering, trade etc... Not many games give you opportunity to earn tokens by playing it without obligation to invest anything except your time in it. I'd love to see how much progress you had in this game so far and to hear who else from Scorum community is into this nice game ? Remember what Georgio Tsukalos said in one of "Ancient alliens" episodes "It wasn't how they teach us in the school, it came from above!" (and points with his fingers to the sky with silly smile lol).
