Formula 1 superstar Valtteri Bottas snatched his first win in rallying and it was kinda predictable because whole rally was driven on Paul Ricard circuit which is very familiar to Bottas who drives circuit races his whole life.

To be sincere, I expected that kind of a finish for Bottas because he was in a WRC machinery (Citroen DS3 WRC ran by Citroen satellite team PH Sport) against top French drivers who were in a less powerful R5 cars. You just can't compare these kind of cars because WRC car is much more powerful and has much more sophisticated suspension.

But what we must say is that real fight was for the 3rd place between three drivers who finished in three seconds and Gachet finally took that final podium position in another Citroen but it was C3 R5 rally car.

Ex-works Citroen driver Stephane Lefebvre finished only 4th in a Porsche 991.

Nice stuff from Bottas. We expect more from him in the future behind a wheel of a rally car.
