English Premier League will kick off on 11th of August, so is Fantasy Premier League FPL. Fantasy Premier League 2018/2019 has already been launched, and if you haven't signed up you can do it here. https://fantasy.premierleague.com. If you have played it before, you can just sign in and you will be all set to begin your fpl journey. The sign-up process is not that hard and you just need to fill some of your personal details. You can auto-fill your squad now. You have a whole month to refine your squad, and I will be with you providing some tips. If you haven't played earlier, I encourage you to play it, it is so much fun when many like-minded people play together and discuss the results and achievements. We have a common platform as a Scorum for it. On top of that, we will have Scorum Fantasy Draft every week to discuss. Trust me, we will have a great season of the English Premier League, and loads of fun together playing FPL and Scorum draft.

What is FPL?

Fantasy football is a virtual game in which fantasy managers make an imaginary team of real life footballers and score points based on those players' performance. In Fantasy Premier League, a squad of 15 players is created from different Premier League teams, and the point is scored based on player's performance EPL. Regular FPL is different from the draft, and it is played throughout the season. Thus, regular FPL will be played for 38 weeks, and the winner will be with the highest overall points. Thus, FPL is not a sprint but it is a marathon. You need to perform consistently throughout the season. 

Some Basic Rule:

You need to create a squad of 15 players (2 GK, 5 DEF, 5 MID, 3 FOR), with a maximum of 3 players from a team. During a game week, 11 players from your 15 men squad will play, and remaining 4 will be on the bench. You can play in any formation, provided that you should at least have  1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders and 1 forward are selected at all times. You are allowed to have 1 free transfer, and extra will cost you 4 points each. You have 2 wildcards, and 3 chips in form of bench boost, triple captain, and a free-hit. I will explain more in details about this in upcoming posts. 

Scorum-fans Fantasy League

If you have read my introduction post, I have been playing this for the last 7 years. Every year I play with my friends, discuss it most of the time, keep engaged, and have loads of fun. Also, we used to collect money among ourselves, compete in a private league, and reward the winner. I won it a couple of times. Keeping all these in mind, I think we can create a similar engagement here in Scorum among us. Also, we can make a post about it, and reward the winner of our private league with SCR tokens that is collected from the post. Last year, in a similar contest in Steemit, a winner was rewarded with around 2000 steem, and top 20 in that league getting the prize. If everything goes right, we can do a same, and reward the winners with thousands of SCR. The prize all depends on our engagement and growth of Scorum. I trust in Scorum, and we will all grow with it.

Prizes:

After the Scorum Advertising platform is released, every week I will make a post where I will publish the results of previous GW and provide some insights may be for a coming week. 50% of SCR earn will go to weekly winners, while 50% will be saved and be distributed among overall winners.

The number of winners to be awarded weekly and for overall standing will be determined based on the number of participants in the league. So, stay tuned till the start of the season. I will be updating the progress to you.

Scorum-fans Fantasy League Rules

  1. One team per Scorum user allowed in the league. You must comment your team name in the announcement post. If you don't I will be enforced to remove you from the league before the start of GW 1.
  2. You must be active in Scorum. I want to make this interactive, who don't post or comments anywhere.
  3. No multiple accounts and multiple teams in the league. Those managers with multiple teams will be removed
