Another week had almost gone by,  and we are less than 24 hours for before the kick off of Game Week 2. I am bringing some tips for you on captain picks for GW 2

Before going through the captain pick, let me remind you about the free transfer you can make every GW as many of you asked me about this. Every Game Week, you are allowed to make 1 Free transfer, where you can sell the player you don't want in your team and bring the in-form player you want, provided that you are within your budget limit. If you do more than 1 transfer, 4 points for each transfer will be deducted in the upcoming GW.

If you don't use your transfer this GW, it will carry over to the next week, and you can make 2 free transfer next week. But remember that, the maximum number of free transfer is limited to 2. If you don't use your free transfer in GW 2 too, the GW 1 free transfer will be lost, and you will again have 2 free transfer in GW 3.

Fantasy Premier League is a marathon that runs for 38 GW, and be cautious while doing the transfer. Don't do the unnecessary transfer and incur negative points until and unless your team badly needs it.  If you still have doubts, please comment below or ask me in my discord, I will do my best to answer you. For me, although, my teams didn't look strong enough, I decided to save the transfer for GW 2.

Here are the popular captain pick for GW 2 and ATGS(Anytime Goal Scoring) Odds from William Hills.

  • Aguero vs Huddersfield Town(Home)

Sergio Aguero is going to be the most popular captain pick as Manchester City takes struggling Huddersfield Town at home. He has ownership of 32.5% in FPL and is the most popular forward after his performance in community shield. He should start ahead of Jesus against Huddersfield. ManCity and Aguero displayed a brilliant performance against Arsenal last GW although he missed a couple of golden chances while Huddersfield conceded 3 against Chelsea. ManCity should probably get plenty of goals against the Terriers and Aguero would have a major share in it. Aguero was a prolific scorer at home last season with 15 of his 21 goals coming in the Ethiad Stadium. He has best any time goal scoring odds going into GW2.

On the other news, Kevin De Buryne who has ownership of 16% is out injured for 3 months. If you still have free transfer and have De Buryne in your team, you need to do something here.

  • Salah/Mane vs Crystal Palace (Away)

If you are confused with the captain pick, go with either of the most dangerous trios of Liverpool attack. Salah is second most popular captain pick going to GW 2, while Mane is featured in it too. Liverpool thrashed West Ham United 4-0 last time out, Salah got a goal while Mane got the double. Both had 4 attempts on goal.

Liverpool won both the fixture against Palace last season with Mane scoring in both the fixtures. Mane also scored in both GW 1 and GW 2 last season and would be looking to repeat it. Salah had 13 of his 32 goals coming in away matches, which means he is equally efficient both home and away. On other hands, Palace only managed 4 clean sheets at their home. Thus, we should see some goals in Selhurst Park and Salah/Mane would have hands on most of them.

  • Kane vs Fulham (home)

Although doubt to start,  Kane was among the top captain pick in GW 1 but he ended with just 1 points. The World Cup Golden Boot winner played full 90 minutes against Newcastle, looked tired and didn't manage a single shot on target. Kane this time had easiest of the fixture to end his August drought as Fulham are struggling with their injured defensive line. He has impressive goalscoring odds but only concern is his August curse.

  • Mendy vs Huddersfield Town(Home)

After a clean sheet and a couple of assists, Benjamin Mendy is back on the radar for the Captain pick. Mendy was one of the best players last time against Arsenal. Not only he got two assists, he also got 2 shots on goal and 3 penalty box touches against Arsenal. Mendy with the potential to provide returns at both ends of the ground makes a popular captain pick.

  • Richarlison vs Southampton (Home)

Richarlison had a most eventful game last time out against Wolves as he scored a brace with only 2 shots in target he had, conceded a Yellow Cards and went out injured. And he is all set to return against Southampton at home. Richarlison was lucky last time to twice with 2 shots on target after coming from later part of last season where he didn't score any goals with his 52 attempts. But goals are hard to come against resilience Soton defense. Soton Goalie Alex McCarthy made impressive 6 saves last time out against Burnley.

Who is your Captain for GW 2?

For me I am going with Aguero.

Happy Fantasy and good luck to you all.
