GW 27 is one of the game weeks that I would like to forget. I was left with my lowest ever total in the past 6 years in a heartbreaking game week that came with injuries and blanks. Although the average was pretty low, I only managed 65% of the average score. Or to make it easier, my total score was matched by Gerard Deulofeu alone. Now you should imagine how worse this game week was.

Here are some Stats:

  • Average points: 35
  • Most Captained: Salah
  • Most Transferred in :Son
  • MVP: Gerard Deulofeu (23 points- scored 3 goals, 1 assist, and 3 BP)

Most Captained among live teams:

  • Salah - 23.2 (FLOP)
  • Aubameyang - 17.4% (FLOP- came as a substitute and played 15 mins for 1 point)
  • Rashford - 815.4% (FLOP)

The talking point for this GW starts with the blank GW. Manchester City, Everton, Chelsea, and Brighton had a blank because of the EFL Cup final. City won the final against Chelsea in the penalty shoot-out, the first Silverware. These blanks mean most of us had problems fielding the 11 players. Many FPL managers own the City and Chelsea players. You should consider yourself lucky if you fielded 11 players or you didn't plan anything for the double game week of City and Everton in the previous game week.

To follow the lack of players, 31% owned Wan-Bissaka was injured in the training. To add to the list, United already had 3 players injured, and other 4 were added to the list as United faced Liverpool at Old Trafford. The game ended in a 0-0 draw which means fantasy favorites from these two teams which include Salah, Mane, Firmino, Pogba, and Rashford all blanked. Added to that, if you had Alexander-Arnold, he didn't start either.

The talking point of the GW was Watford and Deulofeu who managed to thrash Cardiff by 5-1 away. Deulofeu got 3 goals and 1 assist, while Deeney got 2 goals and 1 assist. Deulofeu is just owned by 1.5% managers while Deeney is owned by 4% managers. There were 4 goals in London derby as Westham welcomed Fulham. Diop, Antonio, Chicharito, and Babel got a goal each but unfortunately, none of them is fantasy favorite. Zaha who is owned by 11% of managers got a brace as Palace thrashed Leicester City by 4-1.

@meitanteikun97 is the winner for GW 27 with 57 points in a low scoring GW. It was a brave pick by to have Deeney as the captain, the player who blanked previous 5 game week. But the risk paid him as Deeney scored massive 15 points. Other than Deeney, no big score for him either like every one of us. Congratulations @meitanteikun97, your rewards had been delivered.

A worse week for me with just 24 points, a score that made me sad for the entire week. I got out of the elimination league in a couple of the paid leagues I play. Before the kick-off, I managed 11 players to start in the game week, thanks to the blank GW. But luck was not with me as 3 of them didn't start. It includes Wan-Bissaka, Gunnarsson, and Arnold. Jiménez got me 7 points, the highest for this week. Beside him, nobody contributed anything to ensure I would get the worse score in these 6 years. Moving forward, I had red arrow everywhere, including in the Scorum-fans/SBC League where I dropped to 9th in the table. Going to the leaderboard, @oldem28 is still at the top after scoring 43 points. @awd2 is behind after 37 points this week, and now 10 points away from @oldem28 at the top.

How was your GW 27? Did you manage to surpass the average score?
