|Manchester United's England left-back, Luke Shaw has ended speculations about his future at the club after he signed a new long term contract.

It was recently widely reported that United were considering handing the young defender a new deal with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

It now appears the club has moved swiftly to avoid unwanted situations towards the end of the contract by giving the former Southampton defender a deal worth £190,000 a week.

Having endured a terrible past season with injury and lack of form, the England defender has hit the ground running this season, starting 7 of United's 8 league games this season.

The 23-year old is one of the eleven players whose contracts are set to expire at the end season.

Of the remaining 10 players, the club has also began talks with Anthony Martial and David de Gea over new deals.

The likes of Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia however would have to wait a longer time to know their fate, if they would be offered new contracts.

It is believed that their own deals, if any, would be performance based.
