There were finally fans on the stands again, Wolverhampton came away with a strong victory over Arsenal and probably filled with confidence but they met something else as Liverpool never get weak despite several injury players.

After 17 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Caoimhin Kelleher might have resulted in a goal for Liverpool. However, Daniel Podence made a spectacular save. The best attempt of the match so far, in a very even start without the great chances for the teams.

In the 23 minutes Salah scored a goal for Liverpool which put them ahead of Wolverhampton. The first half which ended without further goals but Liverpool dominated the match.

From the start of the second half, the home team seemed motivated to give the fans something to cheer about.

Wolverhampton did not create much the other way and Klopp got ready to send Trent Alexander-Arnold into action again. Before he reached in, Salah sent a perfect post into the head of Joel Matip. Completely free in front of goal, the stopper did not fail and really decided the match with the 3-0 score.

There was almost talk of showing off now at home, and the word humiliation began to creep in. A pattern attack sent Alexander-Arnold off on the right wing. He slammed an excellent post flat into the back area, where Mane and Wolves defender Nelson Semedo jointly sent the ball into the net with the last foot from Semedo, who was thus noted for an own goal.

With the victory, Liverpool have played their way into the favorites for the title along with Tottenham and Chelsea. Wolverhampton are stuck in 10th place after the defeat at Anfield.
