ARSENAL-BATE:

Arsenal suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat by BATE at Borisov in the Europa League first leg. The Gunners have failed to turn their domain into a goal in the first leg and, consequently, they need a victory over the Belarusian champions if they want to advance to the second round of the European competition. Emery will probably field the best possible formation against the BATE, as at least two goals will be needed for the turn pass. Alexandre Lacazette will miss the match due to disqualification, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will certainly return to the starting lineup after entering the bench in the first leg. Lacazette on the way out was sent off for a nasty jab to an opponent, a sign of nervousness and frustration. The Londoners come from two wins and three losses in all competitions, where the physical decline was evident. The absences of players like Ozil, Bellerin, Ramsey and Welbeck then certainly do not help the cause of the Gunners. The Bate Borisov on the other hand is not an easy opponent and this could be imagined already on the eve of the challenge. For the Belarusian team the most difficult part will now come, as it will be necessary to defend the advantage gained on the London field, then trying to hit on the break. The visiting team has participated several times in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA / EL Cup, often reaching the group stage of the first. The BATE will try to overcome the turn and advance in this competition, where it came thanks to the second place obtained in the group L, in the group where they played MOL, PAOK and Chelsea. 1 + OVER 1.5

INTER-RAPID VIENNA:

Inter, in the league, is back from two important victories (against Parma and Sampdoria) that have relaunched the team in third place. In the Europa League came the success of Vienna with 1-0 scored by Lautaro Martinez, the escort bomber; in fact, the team captain, will not be play in this match even after missing the first leg and the match against Samp for a knee problem, at least officially. Inter, however, aims to go all the way to the end of the event to try to win it after having suffered the insult of the resounding elimination from the Champions League. The Rapid Vienna, however, will arrive in Milan to try to overturn the 0-1 cashed at home; the Austrians in this Europa League finished in second place the group stage in group G with 10 points behind Villarreal, with the two formations arrived on equal points but Austrians condemned by direct clashes. In the league, Rapid Vienna is only eighth at 20 and is playing a very subdued tournament. HOME TEAM TO WIN 1

ZENIT-FENERBAHCE :

The first leg, played on Turkish soil, saw Fenerbahce impose 1-0, a result that, of course, can not put the Turks away from bad surprises in the return leg. Zenit, which expresses better technical values, has in fact every opportunity to overturn the result in this home challenge. The Russians are currently top of the league table with 34 points, and come from 2 ko in a row, the last against Kazan at home (1-2). The Russian Premier League is currently stopping for the winter break, which can create some problems with Zenit regarding the game pace. At the Europa League level, however, the hosts won the trophy on one occasion, in 2008, while they qualified for the 16th edition of this edition, coming first in Group C with 11 points ahead of Slavia Prague. The Fenerbache however , will try at all costs to defend the advantage gained in the first leg. The Turks are currently in the relegation zone in the league with 24 points, where they did not win in 2 rounds, and come in particular from home draw against Konyaspor (1-1). At the Europa League level, however, they have never achieved major results while, in this edition, the qualification for the 16th finals has come thanks to the second place obtained in Group D with 8 points. HOME TEAM WIN or DRAW 1X

VALENCIA-CELTIC:

The Valencia, in fact, won the first leg of the 16 finals of the Europa League, played in Scotland, with a 2-0 win, a result that certainly puts them in a privileged position for the passage of the turn. The Iberians are unbeaten in the last 5 rounds of La Liga, where they occupy the ninth position with 32 points, even if they come from 3 draws in a row, the last against Espanyol at home (0-0). At the Europa League level, however, Valencia won once the trophy, in 2004 against Olympique Marseille in the final. Celtic, on the other hand, is forced to a great feat if they wants to qualify for the second round of the Europa League. The Scots, in fact, will have to win by scoring at least 3 goals if they want to go forward in the tournament, or at least, impose 2-0 to bring the challenge to extra time. Celtic in the league dominates the scene, given its 60 points in the standings (8 more on the Rangers seconds) and that comes from the success against Kilmarnock away (1-0). At the level of the Europa League, however, the green-and-whites can boast a final, played in 2003 and lost against Porto. UNDER 3.5

NAPLES-ZURICH:

Napoli took part in the UEFA Europa League round of sixteen for the seventh time and held the record with Villarreal, Ajax and Sporting CP. Thanks to a 3-1 victory over Zurich in Switzerland, Napoli has almost secured a place in the second round of the Europa League, but Ancelotti will certainly warn his men. The Neapolitans have shown their full value in the first leg and will want to return to the goal, after the 0-0 home in the league against Torino. Mertens and his teammates, in fact, are finding it difficult to unlock the race: in four of the last six games the team could not find the way to the goal. It is however well known that the Neapolitans are a real strength at home and will hardly find problems against the Swiss team. Lorenzo Insigne scored the winning goal a week ago and the Italian striker will probably prove decisive in this match too. Zurich however is having a difficult time, given that after the EL defeat another disappointment in the championship came, in the very emotional meeting with the Young Boys. The team lost 2-0 against their national rivals, ending the week with two losses and five conceded goals. Marchesano and his companions will try to limit the damage to the San Paolo, where it seems however it would be necessary to score at least three goals. 1 + OVER 1.5
