Nepal woman football team advance to 2nd round of AFC Woman Olympic 2020 Qualifier. Although Nepal finished group matches unbeaten but failed to register a single win cause them the 3rd place of a table and luckily Nepal reach 2nd round being a one of best third-place team along with Palestine of group D.
Nepal failed to register a single win however, Nepal remain unbeaten with all draws. Nepal played 3 games against Myanmar, India and Bangladesh and all game finished with a 1-1 draw. Myanmar top the group with 2 wins and a draw while India finished 1st as a group runner-up with 1 win, 1 loss and 1 draw. But Bangladesh performed poor and got out of the tournament from the first round. Bangladesh will not feature in the 2nd round. With this results, Nepal, India and Myanmar managed to advance to 2nd round of qualifier from group C along with 7 other teams from other groups which will be held on 1st - 9th of April 2019.
In the 2nd round of qualifier, all 10 teams advanced from round 1, Vietnam and Uzbekistan will be divided into 3 groups of which winner of each group will advance for round 3 of qualifier which will be held later on March 2020. Those 3 2nd round winner teams will get a chance to play against big teams like Australia, China, North Korea, South Korea and Thailand in round 3. Only 2 teams will advance for 2020 Tokyo Olympic.
