Finally, the decade of dominance of two greatest Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi has been fairly broken by the present Fifa best Luka Modric. Modric claims the title of The Best Fifa Men's Player Of 2018 having stunning 2018 with Real Madrid and Croatia national team. He was a playmaker for Croatia to reach the historic final and for Real Madrid to win historic 3 UCL in a row. He did an amazing season as always and earn it by himself working hard for his teams. He was expected by almost everybody. His wonderful and explosive performance from midfield for Croatia earned him The Best award even Croatia lost to France in Final. Modric made 43 appearances in all competition, scoring twice and assisting 8 times last season. But his team play and determination were keys for both club and country.
Modric lit up the world stage by becoming the first player to end the decade of dominance of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. For me, justice has been done. The award can also be won by the midfielder or playmaker like Andres Iniesta and Sneijder in their prime.
From the small village of Croatia to the world cup final as a Captain and become The Best Player of 2018, he deserves all.
