Welcome to Scorum it's akudozen and I'm here to give you a summary of all the 24 teams in the 2019 African Cup of Nations held in Egypt.

The 2019 African Cup of Nations was originally scheduled to be hosted by reigning champions Cameron but because of some civil unrest in the country it was moved to Egypt.
The 2019 AFCON will be contested by 24 teams and increase of 8 teams from the last events.
In order of date of qualification I will start the analysis with Egypt and I don't want the whole analysis to be so lengthy and boring so I split it into two. Part one is made up of all the 14 Teams that qualify last year. Please come with me.
October 16,2018
On this date four teams booked their name for the 2019 afcon tournament. This include 2 North African teams (Egypt and Tunisia), 1 West African team (Senegal) and 1 CECAFA team (Madagascar) which are also making their debut entry.
Egypt
Egypt qualify as host and runner-up in group J. This is their 24th appearance in the afcon. Your last appearance was in 2017 and they won the tournament in 1957, 1959, 1986, 1998, 2006, 2008 and 2010.
Madagascar
Madagascar qualified as runner-up in group A, they are making their first ever appearance at the tournament.
Tunisia
Then we have Tunisia who qualify as winner of group J. They are making A19 appearance in the afcon and they were last at the tournament in 2017. They were winner of 2004 events.
Senegal
Senegal qualified as the winner of Group A. This is their 15th Ave corner parents and they were last and the tournament 2017. The best tournament finish was runner-up in 2002. Remember that year guys they made their World Cup debut which was co-hosted by Korea and Japan.

November 17,2018:
On this day another North African team join the list (Morocco), 2 West African teams(Nigerian and Mali) and lastly 1 East-Central African team (Uganda).
Morocco:
Morocco qualified as winners of Group B and this is their 17th tournament appearance. They were last at the tournaments in 2017 events and last won the trophy in 1978 that is; 41 years ago.
Nigeria🇳🇬
Next on the list was Nigeria. Nigeria qualified as winners of Group E. This is their 18 tournament appearance and they were last at the competition in 2013 where they eventually become the winner.
Nigeria we are winners in 1980, 1994 and 2013. So after winning the Nations Cup Nigeria physically disappeared.
Uganda
Uganda where winners of Group L and they are making their seventh (7th) tournament appearance. They were at the events in 2017 and their best finish was as runners-up in 1978.
Mali
Mali qualified to 2019 afcon competition as winner in Group C. This is their 11th Afcon appearance and they were last at the tournaments 2017. Their best finish was as runners-up in 1972.

Four more teams joined on this day and they included one West-coastal team (Guinea), one Northern team(Algeria), one Northwest team (Mauritania) then finally one West African team (Ivory Coast).
Guinea
First on the day was Guinea who were winners of Group H. This is there 12 tournament appearance. Guinea last appeared in a tournament in 2015, which meant that the miss the last one. The best finish was as runners-up in 1976.
Then we have Algeria who qualified as winner of Group D. This is Algeria 18th tournament appearance. The Wailers at the tournament in 2017 and their best finish is the winners medal in 1990.
Mauritania join the list after qualifying as runners-up in Group I. Just like Madagascar they are making their tournament debut.
Finally on the day was the West Africa side Ivory Coast who qualified as runners-up in Group H. This is their 23 tournament appearance and they were last at the tournament 2017. Africa's best finish was a winner medal in 1992 and 2015.

Before 2018 runs out Kenya an Eastern Africa side and Ghana West African side join the list.
Kenya
Kenya qualified to the tournament as runners-up in Group F. This is their 6th tournament appearance. Kenya are actually making a comeback after being away from the tournament for 15 years. The last time they were there was in 2004. The best finish is a group-stage exit in 1972, 1989, 1990, 1992 and 2004.
Then we have Ghana who came top of Group F. This is their 22nd appearance and they were last there at the 2017 event. They won the tournament in 1963 1965 1978 and 1982.
