The Nigeria Professional Football League resume tomorrow the 17th day of March 2019, for matchday 11.

The league was put to a stand still after matchday 10 due to the just concluded general elections across every part of the country. Reasons being that the electioneering body INEC engaged thousands of ad hoc staff to help conduct the election, in which most of the match officials were directly involved in the process across the 36 States of the Country. The elections were conducted in 774 local government areas in Nigeria.

According to a circular signed by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the League Management Company (LMC), Salihu Abubakar and sent to all participating clubs, outstanding matches will hold as earlier scheduled.

Ubong Friday Moves From Nigeria To Armenia.

During the break NPFL Akwa United star, Ubong Friday complete a move to Armenian club, Lori FC. Ubong Friday make the move before Akwa United last reschedule fixture against Gombe United which ended in a 2-2 draw.

The former Akwa United winger was handed the number 20 jersey.

League Bloggers Awards (LBA)

At the end of matchday 10, Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh was on top of the goal scoring log with 7 goals.

Mfon Udoh was on top form in February which help Akwa United club move 7 places up the NPFL Group B table from the 10th to 3rd position.

With this he was named League Bloggers Awards (LBA) Player of Month for the month of February.

The Akwa United forward scored 4 goals and provided 2 assist for the month of February.

MFM FC’s coach Fidelis Ilechukwu was also name the Manager of the Month for the month of February.

Matchday 11 will witness 10 matches across 10 different venues at 16:00 GMT

In Group A:

- Sunshine Stars of Akure will welcome Enyimba Fc of Aba at the Akure Township Stadium.

- Katsina United host Kwara United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

- Wikki Tourists will lock horns with Rivers United of Port Harcourt at the Pattanmi Stadium Gombe.

- MFM FC will hope to extend their stay on top of the log as they welcome Bendel Insurance.

In Group B:

- Heartland FC will battle Akwa United in the star fixture of the week at the Okigwe Township Stadium.

- Kada City will hope to continue with their good form as they host Nasarawa United at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

- Yobe Desert Stars will fight for maximum point as Go Round FC visit them at the August 27 Stadium, Damaturu.

- El-Kanemi Warriors welcome Gombe United at the El-Kanemi Stadium Complex, Maiduguri.

- Group B table leader FC Ifeanyi Ubah will play host to Kano Pillars at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium, Ozobula.
