The 2018/2019 fa Women's Super League (WSL) Champions Arsenal bounce back to winning ways after losing their first match of the season over the weekend against Chelsea.

The English side defeated Slavia Prague 5-2 away from home as the Arsenal's Queen, Vivianne Miedema scored four times to help in our place one foot in the quarter-finals.

She completed her hat-trick within 15 minutes to give the Gunners a 3-0 first-half lead away from home at the 24, 26 and 29 minutes before extending the scoreline at the 52nd minute to 4-0 and Kim Little's penalty 6 minutes later makes it 5-0.

Although the host try fighting back to score at the 71st and 88 minutes though Katerina Svitkova and Mia Persson to reduce the goals tally but it was a done deal already as Arsenal return to England with all three points.

Manchester City (England) 1-1 Atletico Madrid (Spain)

The second English side were held at home to a 1-1 draw against the Spanish champions at the Academy Stadium to leave their tie firmly in the balance.

The city ladies took an early lead at the 13' though Janine Beckie but couldn't held unto it still the end of the game as the visitors bring the game to a stalemate at the 81st minute through Charlyn Corral to extend their unfinished business to the return fixture on the 31th of October, 2019.

Double 4-0 Away win for French Teams

Fortuna (Austria) 0-4 Lyonnaise (France)

At the Hjoerring stadium where Fortuna Hjoerring played host to defending champions Olympique Lyonnaise, it was a double brace for Ada Hegerberg (17' +pen.) and 54') and Sommer (29' and 41').

Hegerberg brace saw her name go down the history book as she became Join highest goal scorer in the women's Champions League equally Anja Mittag's tally of 51 goals.

The defending Champions still seems to be unstoppable.

The same scoreline was recorded at the Kopavogsvoellur stadium, Iceland as Breidablik hosted PSG.

The French side makes this really easy as they run into a 3-0 lead after 29 minutes with goals coming in from Saerik at the 10', Formiga at the 18' and M.Katoto at the 29'.

BIIK Kazygurt (Kazakhstan) 0-5 Bayern Munich(Germany)

Die Roten put five past host Bllk Kazygurt at the Bllk stadium.

Bayern Munich assured safe passage to the next round with Lina Magull brace.

J.Damnjanovic gave the away side the lead at the 23rd minute before Lina scored from the spot at the 28rd minute. She then double her goal tally 10 minutes after to give Bayern a 3-0 first half lead.

Gielnik and Rolser extended the lead in the second half at the 73 and 80 minute to end the game with a 0-5 away win.

VfL Wolfsburg (Germany) 6-0 FC Twente (Netherlands)

Not to be outdone, Wolfsburg brushes FC Twente aside in front of their home fans, scoring six(6) goals without reply in a thumping victory.

It was a double brace for Zsanett Jakabfi(24' and 37') and Bloodworth (60' and 89').

The Hungarian completed a brace within 37 minutes to give the host a 2-0 first-half lead.

Bloodworth, got the ball rolling in the second half at the 60th minute then Harder at the 71 minute then F.Rolfeo makes it 5, seven minutes after.

Bloodworth had the game wrapped up at the 89' as she score her second goal of the night.

It was a 6-0 first leg win for the German side.

Defense Gone Bad

Brondby (Denmark) 0-2 Glasgow City (Scotland)

Two(2) own goals from either half gave Glasgow City maximum points in Denmark.

Glasgow City will head back to Scotland with their head held high, as Brondby on the other side will have theirselves to blame for not putting their defense in order.

The first goal was scored under the first minute of the game and the second at the 60', no thanks to the goalkeeper for such an expensive mistake.

Barcelona (Spain) 5-0 FC Minsk (Belarus)

Barcelona crowned the Women's Champions League round of 16 with a magnificent win over the Belarus Team FC Minsk.

The super Falcons and FC Barcelona Femeni forward Asisat Oshoala gave the host an early lead at the 6th minute to open the floor as goals rushed in.

Torrejon double the lead at the 20' before the Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmati Score a quick brace within 4 minutes at the 22' and 26' to seal a 4-0 first half win.

J.Hermoso increase the goal tally to 5 as she record the only goal in the second half.

Barcelona Femeni will travel to Belarus with a 5 goals advantage.
