David Alaba from Austria has played for German Bayern Munich since 2010. With the club, he has won the Bundesliga nine times, the German Cup six times and the Champions League twice. But the two parties seem to be at an imminent crossroads. Alaba's current contract expires this summer, and he and Bayern Munich here could not reach an agreement on a new one. Marca writes on Thursday that Alaba has been offered to the Spanish big club Real Madrid. The Austrian is said to be interested in joining the club and his agent, Pini Zahavi, has good contacts at the Spanish club.

The problem may be the Annual Salary which Alaba has demanded, and is something on top of what Real Madrid will provide, also taking into account the financial problems caused by the corona epidemic. Real Madrid do not immediately intend to act in January, as the club has not budgeted for it.

Despite the financial aspect, Alaba is a hugely versatile footballer who can play central defense, left back and central midfield. Besides that, he is in possession of a good kick, as he has shown before. He is a dream come true for most football teams.
