On the 24th September 2020, Edouard Osoque Mendy was announced as a player for Chelsea Football Club.

Head coach of Chelsea Frank Lampard revealed that the Technical Advisor for the London club Petr Cech who also like Mendy joined the club from Rennes played a vital role of the Senegalese signing.

Edouard Mendy kept his 10th cleensheet in 16 games when Chelsea trashed West ham 3:0 in the London derby at the Stamford Bridge tonight, that is as many as Kepa Arrizabalaga has in 45 games since last season...Call it a better upgrade!

Believe it or not, despite missing the first four games of the season, Mendy has more Premier League clean sheets than Lloris, Alisson and De Gea something all Chelsea fans should be happy about.

Chelsea have conceded a total of 14 goals this season whilst Kepa + Caballero = 9 goals in four games, Edouard Osoque Mendy has conceded just 5 goals in 10 matches...That TOWEL is the clean sheet my African fellows will believe.

Mendy adds some calmness to the Chelsea defence together with his big towel and Chelsea is destined for some greatness this season which Mendy will be a key.
