Leicester City vs Chelsea

Weekend is here again and as I said in my previous post, Premier league actions kick off tomorrow and as always, exciting times ahead. Leicester City vs Chelsea will be involved in a clash at the King Power Stadium, a much-anticipated fixture as both teams continue to battle it out in the top 4 race.

Leicester City are having an incredible season, probably their best-ever season in the premier league aside their unthinkable title-winning season few years ago. They are sitting comfortably in second position on the premier league table and are already one of the favourites to secure a comfortable top 4 finish this season. So far, their season is going well above their expectations and at the moment, they are looking to achieve more. They will be facing one of the top 4 rivals at home tomorrow, a very tough game for them as Chelsea are looking to return to winning ways after 2 disappointing results in a row. However, the odds are slightly in favour of them to get the job done at home.

The Foxes are expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, they have shown so far this season that they can play football, however, they are also happy to set up to utilize their qualities to counter-attack.

Chelsea are currently in a tough situation even though they are sitting 6 points clear in 4th position. Their last 2 premier league games have been quite disappointing as they were expected to get the job done in those fixtures. The good news for them is that, despite the fact that they haven’t been able to string a couple of wins together since their last run of wins in a row, they are somehow still 6 points above 5th position, which is great for them. They have another chance of extending the lead when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium tomorrow, a battle against one of their top 4 rivals this season. A very difficult game for the Blues, however, Chelsea on their day are expected to get the job done in this fixture.

The Blues are expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, they will be looking to dominate the ball and try to be more solid defensively, as they know how dangerous Leicester City are especially when it comes to counter-attacks.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
