AA Gent vs AS Roma
The match last week ended in a 1-0 victory for the home team but AA Gent most of the match actually were the better team and deserved more. At home this season they have put up solid performances consistently but they also haven't managed to keep a clean sheet there in the last 6 games. Given the fact that AA Gent was arguably the better team in Rome, I didn't overthink this one and just took a medium bet early this week on AA Gent +0.25 @ 1.943 and some beer money on them to win outright @ 3.15. Roma coach said they came to score a goal and not to build a wall but I want to see this first before potentially getting myself into an over bet.
Manchester United vs Club Brugge
Club Brugge coach surprisingly choose for a youngster last week instead of experienced Vormer while not rotation over the weekend which shows that this match is not a priority for them. If they would go to the next round that would mean 2 extra matches in a busy schedule with the cup final and the playoffs. Today they will be without Dennis, Vormer, and Balanta because of injury/suspension and Diatta will likely start on the bench. The match last week ended in a 1-1 score which means Club Brugge will have to score tonight and I don't doubt they will go for it. The match last week was played without any defensive risk and the goals came from avoidable individual mistakes. I would not be surprised to see a somewhat more open match today at some point. Man United at home in Europe against smaller country teams has around an 80% win rate and it would be a surprise to see Club Brugge going home with anything. I will wait it out and see if the match is more offensive before possibly getting in on the over and/or the favorite. No Pre-Game Bets
